A New Favorite - Oolong Tea

Defined Tag:

In the last few decades there has been a boom in different types of tea and one of the new favorites is a long tea. While many years ago there was only one tea, black tea that you could buy today you can choose from hundreds of varieties of herbal teas, white teas green teas and more.

Anyone who enjoys tea owes a great deal of thanks to China where tea is then used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years. . Much like tea is considered a medicinal staple in China, the presence of tea during a meal is also a popular staple.

One of the more popular teas that have found its way from the Chinese mainland is Oolong tea. You might not have heard the name Oolong, but if you have ever even in a Chinese restaurant and tasted their tea then you've probably had Oolong tea.

Now you might wonder why we can't grow Oolong tea domestically and why it has to be imported from a province in China?  The reason for this is that the climate and environment of the province where Oolong tea is grown has a great deal to do with the taste that it has. As such, it can not be duplicated in other parts of the world.

Luckily, globalization has made it easy to get items from other countries and Oolong tea even know it has to be imported from China is still readily available in US markets.  So, if one develops a craving for Oolong tea, they do not have to go to a restaurant anymore and order an entire meal to get it!
